Territory talks about some of the decisions they made in developing fantasy interfaces for the movie Prometheus.
As I watched this movie I was distracted by two things. 1) anytime they tried to have a “story” and forgot to just show us cool spaceships or super gross aliens. 2) the UI. Every time something popped up on a screen it looked dated to me. The screens all had a throwback tron vibe that in a way was cool but felt too fashion oriented. I like the fact that he acknowledges that in this article. Well that, and I hate eurostile-esque fonts. bleh. But that’s just a personal taste preference.
